A Day Out at London Zoo

These photos have been sat in my drafts for the past few weeks and it's about time I set them free! I'd planned to go on an adventure to London for a while with my boy and on one of the first sunny weekends, we jumped on a train and headed for London Zoo!

It was so lovely to be walking round in t-shirts and sunglasses, enjoying our first ice-creams of the year and making friends with the animals.  Having never been to London Zoo before, I was really impressed by how big it was and love the sense of history in the architecture.

My favourites were the butterflies and meerkats.  It feels so surreal in the Butterfly Paradise (a giant inflatable caterpillar)!  Fluttery things of all shapes and sizes surround you as your walk through.  I definitely felt a little like Alice in Wonderland; a confession which the boy found particularly amusing!

We had a fantastic London adventure and finished off our day in Camden, with drinks at The World's End and dinner at Shaka Zulu.  Both are definitely worth a visit if you haven't already been!
