What's Made Me Happy #6

photo dlkafnlf_zps4b8e5ecc.jpg Over the Easter holiday, I was in North Yorkshire visiting family. It's a rural area and farming is in my blood - so it was lovely to look out of the window and see fluffy lambs dotting the fields. Although, also a little heart-breaking that I wasn't in my wellies helping out! I did, however, give my Nan a helping hand in her garden. I'm jealous of her rhubarb! A highlight of my time away was definitely my cousin's wedding. It was such a beautiful day, filled with the perfect mix of laughter, champagne and dad dancing!

I managed to stay away from Easter eggs on my break, but couldn't keep my distance from my Nan's baking.  Since my return I've made a conscious effort to eat clean.  Shortbread, cupcakes and flapjack have been replaced with Nakd bars and smoothies.  I've been trying out Bootea's 14 day teatox alongside the clean eating and I feel so much better in myself.  It's really hit home and made me realise how big of a part nutrition plays on my mood and well-being, both physically and mentally.  I've also just finished the Blogilates Beginner's Calendar in time for my holiday next week.  I've done Cassey's workouts before, but feel so proud of myself that I've managed to keep up with a whole month of her plan.  It's safe to say, you'll be hearing from a happier and healthier Catherine from now on!

Cat-a-Cake Creations Ice Cream Necklace

Handmade jewellery is something really special ...and it's even better when it comes in the form of an ice cream cone with sprinkles. When Claire from Cat-a-Cake Creations offered to gift me one of her unique lasercut necklaces, I immediately jumped at the chance! It's the perfect hand crafted accessory for our British sunshine.

The gold mirrored ice cream cone also comes in pink or painted wood and has sprinkles and hearts engraved.  There are more sweet treats in Claire's Etsy store, if doughnuts or jammy dodgers are more up your street.  I've also got my eye on the Brighton Ice Lolly!  Cat-a-Cake Creations jewellery are perfect for those who love a bit of kitsch!
Hailing from Brighton, Cat-a-Cake Creations is headed up by talented and hardworking Claire Montgomery.  Her whimsical pieces epitomise the spirit of Brighton - take a peek at her Carousel Collection to see just what I mean.  Claire's packaging is spot-on too!  Super-cute pink striped tissue paper and a cute organza bag adorned my necklace - along with an adorable sweetie!  And it's not just jewellery, Claire also turns her hand to greeting cards, wedding invitations and event organisation!  A busy bee indeed!
